[Solved] Show a jpeg in the AllVideo window instead of all black ?
« on: September 11, 2012, 07:14:26 PM »
Is there any way I can have a jpeg I nominate show in the Allvideo window until play is hit? Currently, it's a doom-like black void and I'd like to put something in there the way Youtube does. I am using a local MP4 video.

Many thanks.

You just need to insert the image you want inside the video folder.

I have the same problem.  Can anyone give better details than insert the image you want in the video folder.  My video folder has 12 videos.  Now if I have to use the same "image" for all videos I could do that, would rather not.
Anyone can you HELP?

Put the image inside the file of each video.

Sorry, this may be obvious to you, but new to those of us visiting here.  A video is a file - I have never heard of a way to put a "file inside a file" except to create a zip file or similar package.  Does AV actually accept zip files?
If not, can you explain what you mean - is there a certain type of software we need to use to do this insertion?

Go to your Joomla Media Manager. Select the folder you have inserted your video and upload there the image you want to shown as preview.

First I did put a jpg in the video folder with the video (yes with Joomla media manager).  Still black.  Re-put the several videos in the folder where you put videos and put a jpg that I could live with showing for all the videos.  Still black.

There must be a step that is missing.

HELP PLEASE!

YES! I do it!

Your picture must be the same name as video, and same size as videoplayer. It's work!

OK, so I have a video file;   MYVIDEO.mp4. I have a jpg named; MYVIDEO.jpg the same size of player (400x300) in the same folder as the video.  I still have a black player.

What am I missing?
