slideshow not appearing correctly in category description

I have a strange problem. I have embedded a fpss module into a K2 item using modules anywhere. This works fine and can be seen here http://pugliapooches.eu/jupgrade/index.php/rescuing-stray-and-abandoned-animals-in-puglia [nofollow]

I have embedded another fpss module into a K2 category description in the same way. It does not appear correctly as can be seen here http://pugliapooches.eu/jupgrade/index.php/rescuing-stray-and-abandoned-animals-in-puglia/the-dogs [nofollow]. There are no items in this category but it has a number of sub-categories with items.

Strangely if I add an item to the category which has the fpss module embedded into the description then the slideshow appears correctly both in the category description and in the item at the bottom of the page!

Okay, same link as before but now I have published an item with a slideshow in the category . Now the slideshow in the category description is fine. But of course it also now appearing as in item at the bottom of the page

So the problem is that FPSS rendering twice?

The original problem is that if the slideshow is embedded in the category description but not in an item published within that category it does not render correctly.

If the slideshow is embedded in the category description AND in an item published within the same category then it does render correctly in the category description (where it is required) but, as a consequence of also HAVING to publish it in an item, it then does appear twice. Once within the category description and once within the published item.

I have two examples set up.

This renders correctly in the the category description at the top of the page. But in order to make it render correctly I had to publish an item in the same category with the same slideshow. So if you scroll to the bottom of the page you will see that the slideshow is repeated in an item. Not ideal.

This is set up in the same way as the first link but does not have an item (with the slideshow) published in the same category. As you can see the slideshow does not render correctly when embedded in the category description with no published item. One image appears after the other at the same time.
