Did you make Joomla Multi lingual?

There is a multilanguage status tool where you can the status.

And see this topic:

A very good resource / tutorial:

What I learned from Lefteris is that Virtuemart should be set to English only AND remove the mark that Virtuemart uses English as fall back language.

How did you set up your categories in K2?

It worked for me on Lefteris' advise to make a root folder and language folder.
Make sure the root folder stays empty. In Virtuemart also.

If your shop is empty now that is handy.

Have you enabled the Multi language status tool?

Did you follow the tutorial of Hagen Graf?

The first step is to make sure that Joomla 2.5 is setup correctly as a Multi language environment.

Have you seen the tutorials on the k2 site?

A lot of resources.

What software does your server run on?
The php version is crucial.
It should be at least 5.3.15.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you want us to help you have to start at the beginning.

Is Joomla configured the right way?

Make screenshots of all language settings and upload them here.
Make images of:
  • The Multi language status (in admin section top right next to visitors)
  • The menues when you hover menues
  • The menu manager

What tutorials and resources did you follow to make Joomla Multi language?

There is a new support system.
It is in the bar on top. Did you post your question there also?
Joomla 2.5.8 - php 5.3.15 - Akeeba Backup - Virtuemart 2.0.7f - K2 - K2Mart - ACL Manager - OnePageCheckout - JaT3-V2

I have the same problem.

I'm trying to set a multilingual store but in the english version the article looks like a k2 article not like a k2mart article. I can't see the price or the add to cart buttom.

If I move this item to a spanish category it looks well so the article is not the problem.

I read this topic, the other topic that suggested hansz and the tutorial.

- Set up joomla multilingual and it works.
- Set up k2 categories (one main category (All) and inside english category and spanish category). Following the Lefteris's instructions.
- Set up virtuemart only in english. No categories are created in virtuemart, only manufacturers. And only 3 products (the 3 products that I created with k2).
- PHP 5.3
- The module Multilanguage status shows all correct.

The only thing is different from Hagen Graf's tutorial is:

- I can't unpublish the main menu. I unpublished the module but the menu remains displayed in the front end.

I'm doing something wrong but I don't know what is it.

Ok two days later I have the solution.

You don't have to configure virtuemat in english. You have to configure it in the default langauge of your site.

In the configuration menu, shop, language configuration just set the default language of your site.

Well if somebody have the same problem this is the solution.
