Simple Image Gallery PRO plugin K2 doesn't work

Hello, I juat read all topics about problems with sip, I read some topics about the problem I have, but I can't find a solution.

I click for image gallery in my article, upload zip folder and save, but don't see gallery in frontpage and folder doesn't exist in images/stories. I found folder in media/k2/galleries, so change path in plugin, but still can't see gallery.

I enabled the plugin, tried all options, ccontrolled permissions in media, tmp, chache and plugin folders. Tried to put plugin on top in plugin list, tried different joomla templates, tried in 2 different domains, nothing.

Help please.

why u uploded zip folder? Am i missing something or u didnt extract images. Can u link your img gallery(where it suppose to show) ?

I tried to upload both, a file zip and a zip folder because I should "Upload a zip file with images".

If I upload a zip folder, I don't have gallery and folder is in media/k2/galleries
If I upload a zip image, I have the image in my gallery image, but If I upload one more image, It cancell the last image, so can have just one image in my image gallery, it's no good. Anyway I can upload just zip files, no jpg files o more.

If you use K2 you must upload a zip file with your images if you want to add a gallery.

Thank you to katia who tested SIG PRO on my website. She created a gallery without problems, so I discovered my zip folder was the problem. I read and I know now, you SHOULDN'T zip a folder with images, you SHOULD select images and so zip it.

Anyway I have a problem yet, images gallery are in media/k2/gallery and I need it to be in images/stories, plugin set images/stories/gallery, but images are always in media/k2/galleries

I would like all images (not only image gallery) in images/stories, i would like item images, video and attachments in images/stories, does anyone know what files change?

because I want to manage galleries in frontpage or maybe I don't know how can I cancell or add an image in a gallery, if I add a new image, it cancell old images and can't cancell just one image.

I too would like to change the file path so image galleries wind up in /images/K2. Why? So my clients can use the nifty media manager in K2s backend to edit captions. As it is- either I have to install an FTP extension- which seems redundant- or I have to write all their captions for them, or I have to train them to use an FTP client download- edit and upload the file. The last option seems like a very bad one.

The simplest and most elegant thing would be to be able to use the media manager.

You have a point there. We're actually very close to release Simple Image Gallery Pro v3 which address that issue.

In the meantime you can ask your content editors to upload image galleries via the K2 Media Manager and place the galleries using {gallery} tags inside the K2 item content blocks and not the "Image Gallery" tab.

I have the same problem... When I upload an image gallery (regardless if I zip the files in 1 time or first make a folder and then zip it) It looks like it's working but when I check the 'image gallery' tab I only see : {gallery}24{/gallery}.
How do I call this in the K2 item in the block? I like the wide functionality from K2 and SIG PRO, but if it doesn't work..
Looked through all settings possible but no image gallery!

With all your files in one folder you can highlight all the images you want in this particular gallery, right click and "add to zip".  This will create a zip file with all the images in the root rather than 1 level down in a folder.
